Phuket weather from 20 to 23 September 2013
The weather during last few days has been affected by big events from the China Sea last the tropical storm USAGI that caused floods in China and Philippines. The storm affected central Thailand with heavy rain falls and rivers level raised to critical point.
In Phuket we saw heavy rain on Friday only then Saturday wind started blowing stronger with high waves, but sky went back to blue and clouds were passing fast.
Sunday was basically same as previous day and today we saw more dark clouds, again strong wind helped to keep sky clean so almost all day Sun was shining.
Swim from Phuket West coast it is very dangerous from may till October when the wind direction will change from North East, when at the beaches keep this in mind and follow the warnings.

Phuket weather 16 to 19 September 2013
This week is going opposite all statistics, September should be wet and raining but we had three beautiful days with flat sea and sunshine. Once again this prove that we can record a lot of data thinking that we then know everything about weather but Mother Nature does what she wants...as all women :-).
Today the situation changed a bit with wind and wind gusts, sea is rough and clouds alternate to blue sky. Forecast for tomorrow say more rain and probably strong wind because of tropical depression on South China Sea in last days of action will enter the Gulf of Thailand affecting weather for one or two days until will dissolve by Saturday or Sunday.

Phuket Airport Bus to Patong
Phuket Airport Bus Express provides transportation service from Phuket International Airport to Patong with stops at some of the main areas on the way.
This is a good alternative to taxi and to the tricky join-in minivans, it's convenient if you are on a budget or if you are travelling alone.
At the airport you can find the buses under the bridge, look for the sign "Airport Express"
This is also a good solution to go from Patong to Phuket International Airport if you want to avoid a taxi. The bus stop in Patong is at Jungceylon Shopping Mall.
There are 6 air conditioned buses, each one has 30 comfortable seats and a luggage storage area. Tickets can easily be purchased directly on board.
As you can see in the map below, our office is located at just few steps from Kathu Intersection bus stop, so it's also easy to use this transportation service if you want to come to Easy Day Thailand office.
PROS:
There are 9 daily departures almost every hour:

PROS:

- Reliable
- No annoying and unwished stops at some travel agency on the way.
- Gives the chance to see part of Phuket Island along the way.
CONS:
- The whole ride between the Airport and Patong takes about 2 hours while it would be much faster with a private transfer.
- In Patong the bus stops only at Jungceylon Shopping Mall, so depending on your hotel's location you will probably need also a taxi ride to/from the hotel.

Biking tour Bangkok and PraPaDang
Behind the scene of the business and madness of Bangkok
is actually a wild life and hidden jungle nearby downtown Bangkok. Today I have
a trip to “Prapadang” which is actually a province in Samuitprakan. Prapadang
is quite well known as “The Lung of Bangkok” just 6 kms from downtown Silom.
They call it the lung of Bangkok because the river running around Prapadang is
in the shape of a lung. It’s a very green area. You can actually find some wild
life and the people there have the life style as it used to be 30 years ago.
![]() |

This
morning I started my trip from the pier and crossed the “Chaophraya river” to
Prapadang by a little long tail boat. We then rented bicycles from near by the
Thai boxing camp. The first stop was at the Siamese Fighting Fish Gallery. The gallery was established in 2009
and displays a wide variety of “Siamese Fighting Fish” and other fish found in
the nearby Chaophraya River. The
buildings use traditional Thai architecture and if you are not in a rush to go
elsewhere, then you should take your time and relax in the gardens while enjoying
refreshments from the snack bar. Next we continue our journey along the local
road to the SriNaKorn Park. When we cross the arch bridge, we find ourselves in
a big park surrounding a large pool with a lot of trees and gardens. This park
is more than 200 Rai and we enjoy spending some time feeding the fish in the
park and if you are lucky some time you will find some big monitor lizards
hanging out in the garden to.
Next
station I will take you to the small bridge ally way through to the village.
From here you will see why they call it the Lung of Bangkok. Here they have to
leave 75% of the land to be a jungle and the other 25% they can make buildings,
so this area is always green and creates a lot of Oxygen to the city. For
someone who has never been here before you will find yourself get lost a thousand
times, so better to go there with someone experienced. At the end of the small
bridge walk way, we head towards the “Bangkok Tree House” an eco-friendly 12
room boutique hotel. It’s also a very cozy living and hip place, built
from bamboo reinforced with recycled metal.
This is a good place to have some lunch and take a break for a while. Then it’s
time to head to the “BangPung Floating market”
just 20 minutes away. It is open
every weekend and on public holidys. The charm of this floating market and
the canalside lifestyle of the local community is well worth seeing. Local
products and famous food such as fish-scale flowers, herbal joss sticks, Hoi
Thot (fried mussel pancake), Khanom Khrok or mortar-toasted pastry, mango, etc.
are also offered on sale.

Phuket weather from 10 to 15 September 2013
Time is running fast and we already are at mid September, the week started quiet good on Monday and Tuesday. As usual rain and sun shine, but them from Wednesday we had worst weather since weeks, strong wind, strong wind dusts and high waves.
Sky turned dark and clouds were tick, rain was very heavy for almost two days. Thursday afternoon weather improved and blue sky was again seen.
Friday then everything turned back to normal with little rain or at least lasting not longer than an hour.
And since Saturday morning again a great a great surprise with sunshine and basically two days without rain, wind down and the sea is flat as during winter.
Lets see what next week will bring in, however forecast are for good weather.
